I grew up in Silver Spring, Maryland. I went to Loyola College for a degree in finance and then the University of Maryland for a masters in education. Prior to teaching, I worked for an investment bank. Connect 4 was my favorite childhood game, and I loved reading about Ramona Quimby. My favorite aspect of teaching is working with children. I especially like teaching reading. I enjoy listening to children's connection to books.

I grew up in Baldwin, New York. I went to college at SUNY Buffalo and the University of Maryland. I have always wanted to be a teacher, but if I ever had another career, I would probably choose accounting. My favorite childhood games were hopscotch and Monopoly! My favorite aspect of teaching is watching the "light go on" as a child discovers and unlocks the secret (magic) of learning to read.
