Westland MS - Study Skills Night and Information
Westland hosted its second Study Skills Night on Thursday, October 27th from 7:00 to 9:00. The following is a list of workshops offered, as well as links to materials presented.
Workshop 1: World Language Study Skills
Facilitator: Mrs. Ringelstetter
Focus Questions:
- What are some traditional and non-traditional ways of studying a foreign language at home?
- How can these strategies be utilized across all languages and levels?
- How can these strategies be useful in other subject areas?

Workshop 2: Organization and Basic Study Techniques
Facilitator: Ms. Lepard and Becky Brown
Focus Summary:
You will know if your organizational system is successful because you will get your work done and turn it in on time. You will know if your studying is effective because you will not only do well in class, but also be able to keep up with the discussions and new lessons. When you need to improve your organization or studying – ask for help! Both things are skills that you will need to develop over time.
