The Watkins Mill Booster Club is an All-School Booster Club which raises funds to support 50 clubs and organizations along with 38 athletic teams at WMHS.  We also promote programs that help unite our community of parents, staff and local businesses to support and encourage our students. The Booster Club also gives scholarships to deserving seniors who excel in academics, athletics and extra-curricular activities.  We strictly comply with Montgomery County Public Schools Equity Standards and Procedures.


But we can’t do it without your support.  We need you to join the Booster Club!! We also need you to volunteer your time, donate, attend school functions and activities, purchase concessions and lastly to show your Wolverine Spirit by purchasing and wearing our merchandise. We look forward to seeing you at many of our wonderful events and let’s make 2008-2009 the best WMHS year ever!!!

The Booster Club:

  • Is a non-profit corporation
  • Generated $20,000.00 profit in 2007/2008 for ECAs and Sports teams
  • Netted $10,000 for the electronic Marquee campaign and marching band uniforms
  • Donates half of its earnings to Athletics; half to Extracurricular Clubs and scholarships
  • Enlists 150 parent members per year
  • Is operated by a 9-15 member Board of Directors made up of volunteer parents and staff
  • Awards $2400.00 in scholarship to students of Members.

Our earnings come from:

  • Concessions and merchandise at home games 40%
  • Business Sponsorships 30%
  • Special Events 20%
  • Memberships 5%
  • Merchandise 3%

Mike Tyler/Montgomery County Fall Classic Wrestling Tournament:
Boosters will sell concessions from the Gym stand. We get part of the gate receipts in return for our sponsorship of this outside event

MPSSAA Cross Country Regional Tournament:
Come to this exciting display of the some of the fastest runners in the state; on our own course!

Fall Theatre Production:
Boosters supports drama every year with refreshments at intermission

Bingo-while-u-Bid Silent Auction:
Third Annual. Again we are adding Bingo to the excitement!

Musical or Comedy Event:
This will be BIG - We'll be collecting sponsorships and selling out the auditorium. Great entertainment AND we’ll make progress towards our new Marquee.
