Our students and staff work hard to keep Watkins Mill Elementary School a peaceful school. We have a strong Conflict Resolution Program here at WMES.
Conflict is a normal part of human interaction, and cannot be avoided. We can learn effective ways to deal with conflict. Children and adults who learn how to assert themselves non-violently can avoid becoming bullies or victims. The self-esteem of children will be enhanced if they learn to build non-violent/non-hostile relationships with their peers.
