Explore Countries and Cultures Display

On December 3, 1998, Travilah fifth grade students in Mrs. Ambrosi's room shared the results of their research on countries important to their family history. Parents were invited to attend this classroom celebration.

We've been researching countries around the world.

We've made things to share.

Now we're ready to show off what we know!

Can you guess where in the world my family's from?

Or mine?

Or mine?

Each of us made a tourist poster.

There's lot to see and do in every country!

Come visit Lithuania.

Lisa read the name of this special cake in Russian.

Rye bread and bratwurst from Germany, are you hungry?

Some of us dressed in traditional costumes.

Parents helped set up the food items.

Each student read from his/her report.

After the speeches, time to taste!

Shortbread from Scotland. Bread, beets and hard-boiled eggs from Poland.

We sampled everything.

The display was a learning experience for all.
