Lunar New Year CelebrationYear of the Rooster |
|
Travilah students participated in a Lunar New Year celebration February 15, 2005. Many of our students dressed in traditional Chinese and Korean costumes. Parents provided activities in the gym during recess to expand the students knowledge of a different culture. In the afternoon, we had a parade through the building and made lots of noise to scare away the dragon and bring good luck. Each child received an orange or tangerine to wish them prosperity in the coming year. Click on a picture to see it full size. |
