What is it?
Career lunch bunch is a program where adults present information
about their jobs while the students eat lunch. It's a fun way for
students to explore jobs that interest them and to hear about
careers from people who really specialize in them!
The adults give the presentation three times, once to each grade
level. Presentations are from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. We like to
the speakers to include the following information in their talk:
1.
What training/preparation did you need for
this career?
2.
Describe a typical day/week.
3.
Tell what aspects of your career give you
the most enjoyment
4.
Talk about the less enjoyable parts of
your day/work.
5.
What interests and skills of yours as a
youngster contributed to your selection of this career?
6.
What reading and math skills do you
utilize?
