South America

The rainforests in South America are the most famous but also the most endangered. Thousands of acres of rainforests in the amazing Amazon watershed disappear each day. The matchless system of rivers, which goes through several countries, provides life for thousands of life forms, from caimans to humans. The hundreds of tribes in countries such as Brazil, Peru, Venezuela, and others have barely changed their lifestyles over the thousands of years that they have inhibited this incredible region. Overall, the rainforests of South America deserve every bit of recognition that they have.
