Tucuna
The range of the Tucuna Indians is
hard to determine. It is known, however, that they sustain themselves by
hunting, fishing, farming, and gathering. They are known for their ten-foot
blowguns, masks, and highly effective dart poison. They first made contact with
Europeans in 1641. They believe that this contact angered their gods, so they
make many sacrifices and practice many religious rituals. Little else is known
about this tribe.
