Kayapó

The main region of the Kayapó tribe is near the Xingu River. The shamans, or medicine men, of the Kayapó have discovered many herbal medicines in Amzonia, and are regarded as great scientists by Western botanists. The Kayapó are also excellent farmers. Sadly, ranchers and gold miners are invading parts of the Kayapó land. If this continues, this peaceful tribe could be eliminated forever.
