Important Announcements:

Field trip:  On December 11 we will have an in-house field trip to learn about Native Americans.  More information to follow soon.

Reading:

In guided reading we are completing our fantasy genre, and realistic fiction will begin soon.  We are learning to read between the lines as we infer the meaning of expository articles. Don't forget that six books with summaries and recommendations are required this marking period.

Writing:   BCR'S

Our focus in writing is following a rubric to answer a specific writing prompt in BCR format.

Math:

Fourth grade math is amazing!  We have students on many different levels.  Curriculum is available for each level on the MCPS website.  Click the link below to access.

Fifth grade math Unit 2 test will be given before winter break.  Review all geometry lessons.

Welcome to MCPS Mathematics

Social Studies:  Native Americans

We are using classroom atlases to gather geographic information about the Native American regions.  Native American research project will be assigned in December.

Science: Living Things

We will learn the effects of pollution on the environment by polluting our remaining ecocolumns.
