The mission of Stonegate Elementary School’s library media program is to empower students to be problem solvers, passionate readers, independent researchers, and ethical users of technology and information through direct instruction and collaboration with staff by providing a media program that upholds our multicultural learning environment and supports staff and students.

The vision of Stonegate Elementary School’s library media program is to be regarded as the exemplary model of 21st century information literacy skills instruction in Montgomery County Public Schools by its successful preparation of students and staff in being able to use current and future technologies and Web 2.0 tools effectively for learning and teaching
