I have been teaching for 9 years – and my entire teaching career has been at Stonegate Elementary School in the Learning for Independence Program. I grew up right around the corner off Randolph Road and went to Paint Branch HS in 1998. I went to Mount St. Mary's College and graduated in 2002 with a dual certificate in Special and Elementary Education and I have my Masters Degree from John’s Hopkins University in Assistive Technology and Instructional Technology for Special Education. I have recently purchased my first home – in the neighborhood of Patterson Park – Baltimore! I have an older brother who has cerebral palsy and is independently living in Rockville – he is my inspiration!  My mom is an Art teacher at Burtonsville ES - and she is counting down the days to retirement!!!
