• Meet your 2011-2012 SGA Officers!
• Many thanks to all who donated money to support the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society through the Pennies for Patients Program sponsored by Stonegate’s Student Government Association (SGA). We raised $1010.27 in just one week! The money collected will fund important cancer research and local patient services. Congratulations to Mrs. Steadman’s first grade class and Mrs. Summers’ fourth grade class who collected $104.18 and $126.75 respectively. Each class has won a pizza party for their efforts. Thanks to all who donated!
• The Stonegate Community has done it again! Thanks to your generosity, the Stonegate SGA collected 1, 420 cans and boxes of food to help the needy this holiday season! The bulk of the items were donated to The Food Closet of Silver Spring which serves local families. Some items were donated to some of our own Stonegate families in need. Congratulations to Mrs. Dantzler’s second grade class and Mrs. Hill’s 4thgrade class for donating the most items! Each class will be rewarded with a treat. Thank you all for your generosity!

• The SGA has successfully completed its first school event! Thanks to the generosity of the staff and students of Stonegate Elementary who donated approximately 250 pounds of candy from their Halloween stash. The candy that we collected was donated to The Stepping Stones Shelter in Rockville and The Food Closet of Silver Spring. We’d like to congratulate Mrs. Dantzler’s Class and Mrs. Simpson’s Class for bringing in the most candy! They will be rewarded with a treat of their own.
