- Here is a great opportunity to read to your children, and help others as well! We Give Books is a program that was created to help get books to families who are unable to purchase them, and into classrooms as well. You can visit www.wegivebooks.org and create a FREE account to begin reading and donating books. All you do is sign up for a free account and begin reading! For each book you read online, a book is donated to a reading campaign of your choice. There are organizations such as NEA-Books Across America, which donates books to school libraries in disadvantaged communities across the United States, or Jumpstart for Young Children, which helps to build reading libraries in preschools. This is a great way to help families and schools get books for students who would not otherwise have access to them, and it is a great tool to use with your own children. There are easy-reader books for children learning to read, themed books for holidays, and even non-fiction books that children could use to find information for school.
