INSTRUCTIONS FOR DONATORS:
Unless Lynn Jenner or Rob Molloy have made other arrangements with you personally, all donators should bring their Silent Auction donations to the Stonegate front office and give it to Mrs. Duke or Mrs. Tegethoff. Donations that are ticket-sized or are certificates (for services or for tickets that will be provided later) should be placed in the "Silent Auction" folder that can be found underneath the teachers mailboxes in the front office. You can ask one of the staff if you can't find the folder.
If you are providing a service you should provide the Silent Auction with a certificate to that effect. The certificate is what we will be displaying on the table. Please feel free to provide business cards, extra information, pamphlets, and any additional hard copy information you would like. Remember this is also a good business opportunity for you. The more information you can provide, the better to generate new business for you!!
If you are unable to drop off the information/certificate/tickets for us before the Spring Fair, please call Rob Molloy at 301-989-1165 or Lynn Jenner at 301-438-3045 and we will be happy to pick up the donation from you. We need all donations in hand by Thursday, May 17th, 2007. We will present you with the tax deductible letter for your donation at the Spring Fair. If you are not at the fair, we will provide the letter to your child on the Monday after the fair to transport home. Please don't forget to fill out a Silent Auction donation form for each donation. You can download the donation form here.
WE NEED YOU TO THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX!!
For what you ask? For your kids! We need more donations to the Stonegate Spring Fair Silent Auction! And we need you to think creatively and make this the most successful Silent Auction in Stonegate history! Remember, the more money we raise, the more this benefits YOUR CHILDREN! All monies raised go directly to the PTA and to your kids!
Here is a list of the interesting things being donated to the Silent Auction this year:
A custom made titanium golf club driver and lesson by a golf pro and professional club maker (Valued at: $175) Layhill Loaderworks - 6 cubic yards of shredded hardwood mulch including delivery to your home (Valued at: $200) Four beautiful Disney collector porcelain dolls and stands (Valued at: $150) A week at a Rehoboth Beach beach house (Valued at: $1200) A book lovers basket with books, wine, wine glasses and assorted goodies for eating during your reading time (Valued at: $75) A portrait pencil sketch by a local artist taken directly from your photograph (Valued at: $100) Teeth whitening kit and professional Care electric toothbrush (Valued at: $125) One month of lessons for horseback riding from Reddemeade (Valued at: $160) Gourmet Gift Album (Valued at $50) Costume Jewelry by Cookie Lee Jewelry (Valued at $150) One month tuition at Kuman of Wheaton (3 available each valued at $105) Wine basket (Valued at: $50) Bubblemania party Gift Certificate - Bubblemania and Company (Valued at: $100) Basket of Scholastic Books (Valued at: $50) 2 tours of WJLA, including watching the live broadcast (Each valued at: $100--but really priceless!) And this is just TOUCHING on the surface of what this year's Silent Auction has to offer.
But what do these things have in common? The persons donating these items are THINKING OUTSIDE THE BOX. Just because you don't have season tickets to the Redskins game doesn't mean you don't have something to donate. Think also about your neighbors, friends, relatives, people you do business with. Do they have something worthwhile to contribute to this worthy cause? THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX!!
Do you own a business? Could you donate something from your business or some service that your provide to the Stonegate PTA for the auction? Remember all donations are TAX DEDUCTIBLE! We will provide a letter to your for all your donations for your tax man next year.
Don't be left out of this EXCITING AUCTION. And remember, anything you donate is also GOOD BUSINESS FOR YOU! It's just another way of advertising what you do. Business begets more business. Let everyone know what it is you do and how you can continue to provide business to the Stonegate community.
