Dr. Peggy
Pastor Click here for the Spanish Edition (para espanol) Our After School programs will be starting up the week of October 21. We will offer Art Club on Tuesday afternoons and Computer Club on Thursday afternoons. The Yearbook Club will meet before school and sign-up will be offered at a later time. The information on these clubs has gone home in the backpacks and applications for joining should be returned to your child’s teacher if your child is interested. Your child will receive a notification of being in the club so that you will know for certain whether or not he or she is on the list. Spaces are limited so we are accepting students in the order in which the applications are received. Activities end at 4:20 and a bus will be available to take children home. Be sure to plan to join us for the Math Carnival on October 16th. This is always a fun-filled evening for the whole family to enjoy and is produced by members of our PTA. We will hold our annual Harvest Walk for the Homeless on October 31, at 1:45 PM, in which we walk to raise money for the homeless. We encourage all students to fill out a form for sponsorship. Please remember that we have businesses ready to act as sponsors and that it is not necessary for the children to find a sponsor or to bring in money. By signing the form you are giving permission for a business or community partner to donate money in your child’s name. Last year we raised more money for the homeless than any other school in Montgomery County. Students may walk in costume if they wish and we will also offer face painting. Many classes will have a Harvest Festival in the classroom that same afternoon following the walk. Parent conferences are being scheduled for November. If you do not already have a time arranged, I urge you to contact your child’s teacher for a day and time. Fall has come! It’s time to send the coats and hats for recess. Please remember that we encourage everyone to be sure and have the child’s name on all coats, hats, gloves and scarves so that any lost items can be returned to the owners. Sincerely, |
