THE LIE . . .  Students from the fourth grade class of teacher Melinda Nwoye at Stedwick Elementary School in Gaithersburg helped the Montgomery County Council on Dec. 13 recognize the annual celebration of Human Rights Day by showing the video they created called “The Lie.”  The video features students of various races and nationalities stressing that people of all nationalities should respect each other and that they are not different just because of their heritage.  Council members Roger Berliner and Craig Rice led the ceremonies in Rockville, which were also joined by James Stowe, the director of the County’s Office of Human Rights, and Stedwick Principal Margaret Pastor.

A group of 5th graders performed at a TedXMidAtlantic convention recently!

Check out their performance which starts at minute 57!

Stedwick educator Jonathan Rivera started a "Society of Extraordinary Gentlemen" club for our fifth grade boys.  Check out this video from their graduation ceremony!
