Extracurricular Activities Fee

Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) requires a fee for all middle school and high school students interested in participating in extracurricular activities. This yearly fee covers all activities that a student may choose to participate in during school year.

An extracurricular activity is defined as any activity for which there is an adult supervising students beyond the instructional day in a school-sponsored activity. A fee is not required for students receiving academic assistance such as homework club and math help.

Pre-printed Extracurricular Activity Fee (ECA) forms are available in the main office or on the MCPS website (http://www.montgomeryschoolsmd.org/departments/forms/pdf/280-37.pdf ). Payment should be sent directly to the address listed on the form (please, do NOT send payment to the school).

There is a sliding fee based on household income. It is as follows:

  • Household income greater than $35,000 - $30
  • Household income below $35,000 - $15
