Media Center Hours and Policies

Hours: Regular School Days
7:00am - 3:30pm: Open
 
During class time, students must be with their teachers or have a pass.
 
During lunch hours, the media center will be open if not in use by a class. If closed, students may obtain passes to use the tables or computers for school work only.
Policies
Computer Usage
 
No videos, games, or music/sound. Exception: Videos and sound for classwork are permitted. Headphones may be checked out at the circulation desk.
 
It is recommended that students transfer files by email or flash drive. The new computers don't have floppy drives.
 
Student Behavior
 
No food, drink, cell phones or hats at any time.
 
No electronic devices (iPods, Walkmans, etc.) during schools hours.
 
Circulation Policies
 
Check out intervals:
  • Books (except reference books): 2 weeks
  • Reference books: Overnight
  • Videotapes: 3 days
  • Magazines: 2 weeks (the most current issue may not be checked out)
Fines:
  • Overdue books (except reference books): $.02/day
  • Reference books: $.50/day
  • Videotapes: $.50/day
  • Magazines: $.02/day
 
Printing Policies
 
Black and white:
  • 5 pages of school work per day: free
  • Personal pages, and additional school pages (unless permission is obtained): $.10/page
Color:
  • Desk Jet for school work: $.25/page
  • Desk Jet for personal: $.50/page
  • Laser: $1.00/page
Poster Printer:
  • Banner: $2.75/foot
  • Poster: $6.75 ea.
Laminating:
  • Personal items: $1.00/foot
 
Staff Policies
 
Please don't send more than 5 unescorted students to the media center at one time.
 
Staff may print 5 posters for school use for free.
