IB Requirements

The International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) at Springbrook High School is a small community of highly motivated learners. Students in this program pursue a rigorous and comprehensive two year curriculum. Diploma candidates must study one subject in each of the six groups (group 6, in addition to the arts, may include another group 5 subject (computer science), group 4 subject (science), group 3 (ITGS or Psychology), or an additional group 2 language).

Students must also complete the eight outcomes for Creativity, Action and Service (CAS) hours, the 4000 word extended essay, two semesters of the Theory of Knowledge (ToK) course and the Extended Essay (EE)/Guided Research course. Certificate students must meet the individual requirements for their specific course or courses, and may take Theory of Knowledge, complete an Extended Essay, and participate in CAS activities.
