Springbrook High School

Middle Years Program

Springbrook High School has been an IB World School since 1996, the year Springbrook’s prestigious IB Diploma Program, offered to students in grades 11 and 12, was authorized.

The Springbrook High School community is pleased to announce that the school is officially authorized to teach the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Program (IBMYP). The IBMYP is a philosophy of international education designed to help 11 to 16 year old students (9th and 10th graders at Springbrook HS) develop the knowledge, understanding, attitudes and skills necessary to participate actively and responsibly in a changing world.

In August 2009, Springbrook High School introduced the IBMYP program to the class of 2013. These students are leading the program through the first cycle culminating with their completion of the program in Grade 10. The Springbrook MYP is all inclusive and its mission is to provide students life long learning skills and dispositions.

To inquire further about the IBMYP at Springbrook High School, please contact Mr. Keiran Atwell, MYP Coordinator, by phone at 301-989-5700 or by email.
