Peter Hawkins (2009), a tennis player at Bridgewater, has been named to the Virginia College Division Men't All State second team.


Emma Wells (2011) was named by the Puerto Rican National Federation as a member 2014 Central America games in field hockey.


Mitchell Pollard (2010), a sophomore at Monmouth, was named for the College Football Performance Award's National Punt Returner of the week (November 26, 2011).


Jamal Olaswere (2009) and CJ Garner (2008) played in NCAA Division 1 Championships for Long Island.


Peter Hawkins (2009) a sophomore at Bridgewater, was named the best Number 1 singles and Number 2 doubles in the conference.


Chauncey Manson (2007), Frostburg junior was named 1st team All Conference (CAC) in two events (100 and 200 meters). He also qualified for the ECAC Championship.


Rachel Glasser (2007), Washington College senior swimmer, picture was in Sports Illustrated' Faces in the Crowd, 3/5/2011 issue. Rachel won 3 individual and 2 relay gold medals at the Centennial conference championship. She was named outstanding performer for the third straight year. She is a 5 time All America and qualified for the NCAA in two events. She is the first swimmer in the schools history to qualify for the NCAA's for four straight years.

Peter Hawkings (2009) won mens 18 singles at the USTA Regency Junior Open.


Shannon Connolly (2008) was named to the Big East All-East Academic Team.
William Bell (200?) has been named All American for Cross Country at Amherst.

Bobby Wiley (2006) has been named Male Scholar-Athete of the Year at St. Mary's. Bobby is graduating this year (3.735 GPA) was a four year member of the swim team at St. Mary's. He holds the college record in 800 free relay.


Rachell Glasser (2007), Washington College, was named the most outstanding performer at the Centennial Conference Championships held on 2/22/09. She won three individual gold medals while breaking three individual school records and qualifying for the NCAA Division III Championships.


Lauren Lieb (2004), Hood College, was named 2nd team All Conference in Women's Lacrosse.


Rachel Glasser (2007), Washington College, earned All American Honors (200 butterfly) at the NCAA Division III Swimming Championships.


Billy Chiles (2002) has been named second team All American by the National Soccer Coaches Association of American. Billy is only the second Towson player ever to have achieved All American status. Billy was an All Met Goalie at Springbrook.


Shepherd University announced that Michael Spiegelberg was named to the Northeast Region All Region team (2nd). Mike played defensive end.


2007 National Field Hockey Coaches Association has announced that Emily Richards (2004) has earned a spot on the All-South Region Team. This is her first time on the first team after earning 2nd team status in 2005 and 2006. Emily was an All County and All Met goalie for Springbrook.


Kajee Murangi (2004) recently moved into third place in points for the Towson field hockey team. She has scored 27 goals with 8 assists in her career.


Louis Brookins (2004) recently accepted a full athletic scholarship for basketball at Quinnipiac University. Good Luck and congratulations.



Robert Morris (1965) has won the Maryland State Amateur Golf championships in 2006 and 2007. Bobby also won the Virginia State champions in consecutive years 2006 and 2007. He is the first to have one both championships consectively. Bobby played golf for the University of Maryland (1970). He currently lives in Great Falls, VA.


Darren McClinton (1992) has been named Player of the year in Croatia. Congratulations.


Pitcher Jason Hessler, 2004 Springbrook HS graduate, was selected by the Cleveland Indians in the 31st round of the Major League Baseball draft.  He currently attends and plays at St. Joseph's University.


Fordham graduate Marcus Taylor, 2002 graduate of Springbrook, became the 3rd football ever to win the Vince Lombardi Award as the top male Fordham athlete.  This award follows Marcus being named All American and receiving the Most Valuable football player for Fordham.  Marcus is currently with the Minnesota Vikings.


Congratulations to Springbrook graduate Katie Simmons (03), a lacrosse player at Salisbury, for being named All American 1st team, All Region 1st team, and All Conference 1st team.


Michael Spiegelberg (2004) has been named Lineman of the Year and capatin for the 2007 football team at Shepherd College.


Joanna Lohman (2000) is a member of the United States Women's National Soccer team. She was 3 time All American at Penn State and was named Big Ten Player of the Year in 2003.


John Bunting (1968), recent Head Football Coach at the University of North Carolina, was a longtime NFL Football Star as a linebacker..


Charles Zink (1966) is the leader of the Professional Golfers Asssociation.


Shawn Springs (1993), a starting cornerback for the Washington Redskins, will be taking 25 Springbrook students to Egypt this summer. Contact Mrs. Amatucci for more information.


Marcus Taylor(2003) has been named as a defensive All American. Marcus, at two year captain and a 4 year starting linebacker at Fordham, has also been named Defensive Player of the Year in his conference. In April 2007, he signed a free agent contract with the Minnesota Vikings.


David Jones (2000) signs to tryout for Cincinnati Bengals. David played tight end for the LSU when they won the national championship. In April, David signed to play in Frankfurt (Germany) in the World Football League.
