SPRINGBROOK NEWS

I’m sure Springbrook knows that we do not have the broadcast time to cover national news, but the soldiers killed at Fort Hood yesterday while preparing to depart for Iraq and Afghanistan is terrible: that they should die here, at home in the relative safety and security of America’s largest military base. I think everyone is stunned by this news and perhaps this is a good discussion point in our classrooms.

Today is our final football game at Paint Branch!

Juniors and seniors! Are you interested in a career that pays you to learn another language? Do you dream about traveling and living abroad? Then be sure to attend the November 18th visit by Ramona Harper, a college recruiter from the U.S. Department of State.  You will learn about career opportunities that are available in just about any area of interest.  Sign up is in the career center.  Do not miss this great opportunity.

Any Girls interested in trying out for the 2010 Lacrosse Team must be at the Meeting on Tuesday November 10th at 2:30. If you are unable to attend, you need to see Coach Seesz in the Girls Locker Room before the meeting. The location of the meeting is To Be Announced.

Attention Girls Varsity and JV soccer!! Your end of the season awards banquet will be held Nov. 10th in the cafeteria at 7pm. Also, please return your uniforms ASAP to coach McAndrews in room G106 or you will not receive your award at the banquet.

Any questions please see Coach in G106

Have a great weekend, Springbrook!
