Our Spring Solar Flares Dance Team has been invited to perform in the 2012 National Cherry Blossom Parade in Washington D. C. on Saturday, April 14, 2012! This year, is that first year that the National Cherry Blossom Parade will be syndicated and broadcasted nationwide! We are all very excited! All members of the Spring Solar Flares Dance Team are reminded to trun in all their paperwork to Mrs. Hochkeppel before/by Friday, February 3, 2012.
Recorder Update:
- Recorder instruction for all Third Grade Students has already begun in January, 2012. All students in Grade 3 are reminded to bring in their soprano recorder to each music class, along with a music folder for sheet music and written assignment storage.
- All students in Grades 4 and 5 are reminded to bring in their soprano recorder to each music class, along with a music folder for sheet music and written assignment storage. Thank you!
Performance Groups Update:
- Our First Spring Sun Catchers Dance Team Rehearsal will be Tuesday, March 6, 2012, from 8:15 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. in the Sligo Creek ES Music Room.
- Our First Spring All-Star Orff Ensemble Rehearsal will be Wednesday, March 7, 2012, from 8:15 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. in the Sligo Creek ES Music Room.
- Our First Spring Solar Flares Dance Team Rehearsal will be Thursday, March 8, 2012 from 8:15 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. in the Sligo Creek ES Music Room.
Please be advised that when MCPS Schools are CLOSED, all Performance Group (All Dance Teams and Orff Ensemble) Rehearsals are cancelled.

- Help keep the room clean.
- Sing with a pleasing tone.
