Medical Careers - Internships and Field Trips

Medical Careers students complete two internships in the medical field during the second semester. The first internship takes place at Friends Nursing Home where students learn how to work as nursing assistants and gain real world experience in patient care. The second internship takes place at Montgomery General Hospital where students work in several different departments learning about the many areas of medicine available.

Students also take field trips during the year that include watching an open heart surgery.
