Computer Science will open doors for all students both in high school and in college. Business students can get ahead on their peers by getting a minor in CS, allowing them to understand and apply current Information Systems tools in the business world.
Computer Programming provides opportunities for students to explore advanced programming topics. Students write programs using structured programming techniques, use a problem-solving approach to implement one or more large programs, and complete in-depth work with text files and arrays. Emphasis is placed on continuing the development of effective problem-solving techniques individually and in project management teams. Visual BASIC, C++, and Java programming languages are applied to these concepts in the courses.
