Business Manager

Some of the main responsibilities of the business manager include, but are not limited to:

  • Allocate materials of instruction and textbook funds to departments and notify appropriate resource teachers and department heads when supplemental funds become available
  • Receive and process requisitions for materials of instruction, textbooks, supplies, and equipment
  • Maintain records of balances in operating budget accounts and reconcile with monthly reports issued by the Division of Accounting
  • Supervise preparation of monthly inventories required by the Division of Supply and Property Management
  • Receive furniture and equipment requests from resource teachers and contact the Division of Supply and Property Management to obtain available items
  • Supervise financial secretary and financial records kept for administering independent activity funds in accordance with the manual of Policies and Procedures
  • Supervise building services
  • Supervise cafeteria workers Schedule all community use of building
  • Coordinate school calendar and after- school community programs Publication of monthly school activities bulletin
  • Process on- line vendor and textbook orders
  • Coordinate use of building with ICB; maintain files
  • Prepare payroll for supporting services personnel and distribute checks
