Yes, yearbook is a class! You get a grade for it and you get credit for it. However, it is so much more than just a class. Students who are in yearbook are considered some of the most involved students in the school. You will meet new people and learn lots of new skills. Being a part of the yearbook staff is a wonderful experience because you help to create a product that people will own and treasure the rest of their lives. People will remember what it was like to be a student or staff member at Sherwood based on the memories chronicled in the yearbook.

Students in yearbook work on developing the theme and plan the overall design of the book, they sell business ads in the community and help out with organizing picture days. They photograph sporting events, school activities, and even just typical classroom activities. Staff members sometimes work after school and during lunch to finish work on their digital layouts, especially during deadlines.

Yearbook staff members all have the "right" stuff. This includes a good work ethic, dependability, honesty, creativity, and the ability to work cooperatively as well as independently. The yearbook staff is a team that works hard to capture on paper all of the activities and people that make being a Sherwood Warrior so much fun. If you are interested in being a part of our team, please contact Ms. Leonard in Room C103 for more information and to pick up a try-out packet.
