Volleyball:
Kerry Collins (Sr., S): First Team--The lone holdover from the 2006 4A State champs,
Collins used her experience to steady a young team. After the Warriors started
the season 0-4, they finished strong thanks to Collins, who led them back into the
playoffs with wins in seven of their last nine games.

Drew Hoffmaster (Sr., Pitcher): First Team--Emerged as a top player
while leading Warriors to Maryland 4A semi-finals. Was 12-1 with 0.46 ERA,
allowing just 12 walks in 73-1/3 innings as undefeated Sherwood
advanced to the Maryland 4A championship game. Will play for Catholic University.

meet's all-around competition with a score of 35.525, including tying for third place on floor exercise.
Elizabeth Bofill (Fresh.): First Team--One of many talented freshmen to take county by storm,
Bofill placed seventh in county all-around (35.5) and placed third on balance beam at states.

Aubrey Mirkin (Sr., M/D): First Team--Showed value at midpoint of season, when
struggling Warriors moved her into defense. From then on, team won eight straight,
making it to third straight regional finals.
Sheelagh Bates (Sr., A): Second Team--Team's leading scorer helped spur
midseason turnaround.

Steven Anderson (Sr., A): Second Team--Warriors' prime offensive threat
tallied 25 goals, 41 assists.

Dana Ward (Sr., P): Player of the Year--Shippensburg-bound lefty
led team to state tournament with 243 strikeouts, 16 shutouts and 0.28 ERA.

caught it, finishing with 1.000 fielding percentage. Leadoff batter hit
.444 with 25 runs and 17 RBI.

football, floor leader was sensational in playoffs, averaging 20.3 points during
the postseason and scoring a career high 26 points in Maryland 4A

Andy Lowy (Sr., 130 lbs.): Wrestler of the Year--Won his third Maryland 4A/3A

Deontay Twyman (Sr., Guard): Player of the Year--While scoring average (16.0 this season)
actually decreased in each of his three varsity seasons, stepped up contributions in
other areas. By season's end, was leading team in assists (7 per game)
and checking other teams' best players. Saved best for last, capping
career with brilliant 26-point performance in Class 4A state championship game.
Bo Holston (Jr., Guard): Honorable Mention
Dondrell Whitmore: Coach of the Year--Warriors' junior varsity coach a
season ago, stepped right into big time this season. Molded group of holdovers,
JV call-ups and one transfer into true team that could win any type of game.
Finished season with 15 wins in 16 games, including last nine in row, ending
with Class 4A state championship game.

Arleigh Rose (Jr., Shot Put): First Team--Had the area's longest throw of season
to win county championship (girls). Also won silver medal at 4A/3A West Region meet.
