Maryland's new child safety seat law went into effect on June 30, 2008.
The new law requires that all children younger than eight years of age be secured
in a federally approved child safety seat* according to the safety seat and vehicle
manufacturers' instructions, unless the child is 4 feet, 9 inches or taller, or
weighs more than 65 pounds. The child restraint must be right for the child's size,
age, and weight. Additionally, nationally recognized best practice recommendations
are for most children to ride in booster seats until they are big enough for lap/shoulder
belts to fit properly.

| Please be sure to attend the Board of Education Budget Hearings on Wednesday, January 16th. Testimonies begin at 7:00 PM. The Magruder Cluster is scheduled to testify at 7:48, but all times are approximates. Please join the rest of the Magruder Community in support of the Magruder Cluster budget requests. The hearings will take place at the Carver Education Service Center across from Montgomery College. 1/8/08 | |
| Bar-T lowers rates!! | |
| Bar-T provides before and after school activities for students at Sequoyah Elementary School. Their hours are from 6:45 a.m. until 9:05 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. on school days. When school is closed Bar-T still provides care for students from 6:45 a.m. until 6:30 p.m. weekly. They have now lowered their Rates. (Click on the link above to read more about it.) 9/18/07 | |
