Seneca Valley
Child Development

Purpose

The Seneca Valley High School Child and Adolescent Development Program is dedicated to the enhancement and education of young children who are age 4 (by September 1).

The mission of the program is to prepare the preschoolers for kindergarten and to give them the basic skills to succeed in their elementary stage of life.

High school student teachers work to plan and prepare developmentally appropriate lessons which they teach in the preschool classroom. The student teachers work with the preschoolers on a daily basis.  A high school teacher provides oversight and supervision of all preschool activities, lessons and events.
