Rosemary Hills Elementary School Media Center services approximately 600 students from Pre-K to 2nd grade and all staff members. We have an extensive collection of materials for the primary aged student. It is the home to over 13,000 books, Cd-Roms, DVDs, magazines, reference, and professional resources. We have a large computer research hub where we access online resources and computer applications.

The RHPS Media Center is an integral part of the total instructional program. We provide students and staff with the skills necessary to function effectively in a global society. We are a resource for information technologies, books, periodicals, materials and state-of-the-art equipment to assist students and staff in their pursuit of ideas and information.

Kindergarten classes come to the library weekly to browse and exchange books. First and second grade classes come to the library every other week for book exchange. There is open library time from 8:50am. - 9:20am. for students to exchange books if they forgot their books during library time or they have finished all their books. Students must return their books in order to borrow other books.
- Kindergarten: one book
- First Grade: two books
- Second Grade: three books
Students alternate between going to the computer lab and the media center for lessons. In the media centers, students learn information literacy skills in conjunction with the new Elementary Integrated Curriculum. In the spring, the media center sponsors a Black-Eyed Susan reading promotion for the entire school. All the students read the book nominees and vote for their favorite book.
