Ms. Bley's Class Penguin Study

 In kindergarten writing, students are learning how to write to inform.  Ms Bley's class is studying penguins.  They read many books about penguins and wrote facts about these unique birds.  They also made penguins out of paper bags.  Look below to see samples of their work.

 

Penguins live in New Zealand, South America and Antarctica.  -Charlie

The mom penguins goes to the ocean to get food for the baby.  She eats fish and keeps it in her tummy.  Then she feeds the baby penguin the food from her stomach.  -Sara
The male Emperor penguin has a flap on his tummy  to keep the egg warm. -Declan  Emperor penguins can only lay one egg.  -William
Some penguins like to go near the sun to keep warm. -Jessica Penguins are very good swimmers. -Class
Penguins like to slide on their tummy.  -Matthew Penguins eat fish.  -Brigitte
