Chorus Department
All choir members must turn in their choral fee ($15) and a signed choral handbook
Mr. Robert Martinez
Membership in General Chorus is open to all students in grades 7 and 8. Since this may be the first choral expereience for some particicants, emphasis is placed on developing fundamental singing techniques such as diction, posture, breathing, breath support, tone production, pitch discrimination, tone quality and performance technique. Sight reading and sight singing will also be emphasised. Individual voices are carefully monitored for changing voices.
Students will learn a wide variety of choral music appropriate for their developmental levels. The 7th and 8th Grade Chorus performs at concerts, assemblies, and community functions. Attendance is required at scheduled performances. There is a $15.00 fee for performance attire.
