RHMS-National Junior Honor Society

Seventh and eighth grade students who have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.85 are invited to submit information for consideration to be inducted into the National Junior Honor Society (NJHS). Along with a cumulative GPA of 3.85, students must also exhibit outstanding qualities in leadership, citizenship, service, and participation in activities outside of the regular school day. Students are also highly encouraged to have 30 or more Student Service Learning Hours as a demonstration of service to their community. Letters were sent out this Fall inviting students to submit information for consideration to be inducted into the National Junior Honor Society based on the GPA and SSL hours documented at school; however, any 7th or 8th grade student who has a cumulative GPA of 3.85 may submit the NJHS form with a description of their community service.

Students who transferred to Rocky Hill this year may not have been on the initial list. If your child transferred to RHMS and has a cumulative GPA of 3.85 and they are interested in NJHS, they should submit a form for consideration or contact Mr. Smith.

The NJHS forms can be found on the website in both Word and PDF format. The deadline to submit applications is TBD. Please contact Kalani Smith, NJHS advisor, at kalani_smith@mcpsmd.org if you have any questions.
