Three Students accepted for Learn Serve International Fellows Program
Rushika Athia, Jake Sorrells, and Amy Flores have been accepted into the 2009-10 Fellows program for LearnServe International. This is a ear-long leadership and collaborative learning experience that turns area high school students into innovative thinkers and changemakers. Combining organization visits, technology, social entrepreneurship, and inter-cultural training, thirty high school students from public and private high schools across DC, Maryland, and Virginia learn how to collectively address the issues that must be addressed by their generation. In turn, students work with faculty at their home institutions to bring their experience into schools to create a broader response. Many qualified students applied and were interviewed …to have three students from our school is indeed an outstanding accomplishment.

It's Academic Team Wins .... AGAIN!
The Rockville It's Academic A Team swung into action yesterday in a playoff round against Einstein on the Montgomery County Cable show Quizmaster Challenge. The match will air on Cable Channel 34 after spring break. The overall record goes to 25-6. If this was supposed to be a rebuilding year, this team didn't get the memo.
