Here is your SAT Word of the Day.
Today’s SAT word of the day is contusion.  Contusion means “a bruise; or an injury in which the skin is not broken”.  Let’s continue our story.  Yesterday Tiffany and Dawson, sometime in the future, were running through a cave with iridescent walls.  Let’s see if they make it out of the cave.  “Dawson glanced back behind him and saw what looked like a gigantic bird.  As he turned back to look ahead, his forehead slammed into a low-hanging portion of the roof of the cave.  Grasping his head but feeling no blood, Dawson realized that his forehead would show the nasty results of a bad contusion.”  Is Dawson knocked out?  Will Tiffany leave him behind?  We’ll find out tomorrow.

Here is today’s ‘news.

Remember -- we are still looking for a name for this SAT story that we’ve been bringing you.  Send your ideas to rockvillerampage@gmail.com before next Wed.  The winner receives a $20 gift card from Best Buy.

For years students have been helping other students by referring them to our Student Assistance program when they felt their friends were having drug or alcohol problems.  FYI -- You may also help your friends if they are suffering from depression.  In these awful economic times and around the holidays,  these feelings might seem especially bad.  Get your friend or yourself someone to talk to by completing a referral form.  You may get a form from the Media Center, Health Room or from the Counseling Center.  A true friend takes action when help is needed.
