SGA Duties and Responsibilities 

President: 

  • Works closely with SGA sponsor
  • Chairs SGA meetings
  • Schedules SGA meetings
  • Calls meetings to order
  • Serves as liaison between SGA and administration
 

Vice President: 

  • Steps in whenever the president is unable to attend meetings or functions
  • Responsibilites are the same as the president
 

Secretary: 

  • Takes action minutes
  • Types meeting agendas
  • Maintains a calendar of meetings and campus activities
  • Formats newsletter
 

Treasurer: 

  • Keeps SGA financial books
  • Works closely with president on financial priorities
  • Request funds from accounting
 

Historian: 

  • Takes pictures at events
  • Create and keeps and SGA album
  • Keep track of dates and events
  • Complete other tasks that might be assigned
 

 

Criteria for running for SGA offices: 90 % school attendance, no record of suspensions in the last three months,
no more than 4 level 2a referrals in September 2014, Good communication skills, must be ready to follow all school rules
at all time and in all places, reference letter by a staff member, respectful, organized, achiever, responsible.
