Flag Football Intramurals will be held today after school dress for the weather.

Be ready to cheer as your classmates run the race and then, be ready to continue cheering as the winning teachers get soaked with water balloons in the name of charity!

Attention all students going on the Chesapeake Bay trip… We have our last mandatory meeting on Friday in room 103. You must attend or speak to Ms. Varghese.
Attention all boys interested in trying out for the basketball team. There is another meeting this Friday 11-14 during Interact in the Aux. Gym. You must show up if you want to try out.
8th graders are invited into the gym during Interact today to play basketball.
Any 7th or 8th Grade girl interested in trying-out for the girls’ basketball team this year will need to attend a brief meeting this Friday during Interact in the Aux Gym. Girls’ tryouts will be December 2nd, 3rd and 4th from 2;50-4:15pm. Please be sure you have an updated medical before tryouts.
There will be a mandatory meeting for the Math Team during Interact at a new location today. We will meet at the Fitness Center.

Bon jour, Frost! Today is the last day of National French Week. Our French Week. Our final expression is “savoir-faire”. Its French meaning is “to know how to do something.” In English we use it to mean “having tact or social grace.” Someone who can smooth over an awkward moment at a party is a person with savoir-faire. Au revoir, and use your savoir-faire whenever possible!

Bonjour, Frost! It’s time for today’s French expression, in honor of National French Week. You may have heard the term laissez-faire (less-ay-fair) in your World Studies classes. It comes from the French meaning “let it be.” It refers to a policy of not interfering. So, for example, if your parents decide not to nag you about your messy room, you could say they have a laissez-faire policy towards you keeping your room clean. Au revoir!
The Turkey Trot Race is next Thursday, Nov. 20th. Run, do not walk to your 1st period teacher and sign up to run or cheer. It’s $2 or two cans of food. All proceeds go to Rockville’s Manna Food Pantry.

Talent Show is Friday, November 14 @7:00. Tickets are $5:00 and are being sold in the morning before school in the main lobby.
Since out Nation’s founding, brave men and women have taken up arms to defend the truths set forth in the Declaration of Independence: “That all men are created equal; that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights; that among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness.” Time and again, ordinary people have served our Nation in extraordinary ways so that all Americans can pursue the happiness our Founding Fathers envisioned. By their service, they have kept American strong, and they have protected our way of life for more than two centuries. At this moment, men and women of the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, and Coast Guard are serving around the world. As Americans, we have set aside November 11, Veterans Day, to reflect, remember, and honor those who have served in the United States Armed Forces. Today, there are nearly 25 million military veterans living among us. Included in that number is our very own Mr. Ken Krohn. Happy Veterans Day to all.

Well, your dreams are about to come true…. a few of our beloved teachers have volunteered to participate in a Frost-style “Fear Factor” contest at the Turkey Trot next week. Your teachers are so devoted to the cause of collecting canned food for the City of Rockville that they want to give you extra incentive to bring in cans by agreeing to perform a “Fear Factor” stunt at the Turkey Trot. Voting for the teacher you’d like to see get soaked with water balloons will occur during lunches on Friday, November 10th, Monday, November 13th, Tuesday, November 14th, and Wednesday, November 15th. Remember… you still need to bring in two cans or $2.00 to your Period 1 teacher to attend the Turkey Trot. Bring in extra cans to vote!!!! Any participating teacher that gets 30 cans or $30 will automatically be in the event!
