School Improvement Plans (SIP)

School Improvement Process

Each year the staff, students, and parents of Redland Middle School identify several goals for the school to work on over the course of one or multiple years.  For each of these goals the school improvement team (those staff, parents, and students who participate in the process) developes and action plan to guide our actions so that we meet or exceed our goals.

Typically our plans are developed/revised over the summer during a team meeting.  (The team meeting is open to all parents, students, and staff)  As we progress through the year we work to update our progress towards meeting our goals and adjust the plans as necessary to meet our goals.  This year we started our school improvement process in May of 2011.  We began with a data driven root cause analysis process to identify a few very specific areas of improvement for our school.  This work continued throughout the summer and into the fall of this school year.  Below is the result of our work.
