What Is Our Redland Respect Expectations System
Redland Middle School has developed and implemented a process for creating safer and more effective school environment. It is a systems approach to enhancing the capacity of schools to educate all children by developing research-based, school wide, and classroom discipline systems. Our process focuses on improving a school’s ability to teach and support positive behavior for all students. At Redland Middle School our approach provides systems for schools to design, implement, and evaluate effective school-wide, classroom, non-classroom, and student specific discipline plans. We focus on the implementation of school-wide procedures and processes intended for:
ALL students, ALL staff and in ALL settings
Non-classroom settings within the school environment
Individual classrooms and teachers
Individual student supports for the estimated 3-7% of students who present the most challenging behaviors.
Our approach is a team-based process of a systemic approach to problem solving, planning, and evaluation. It is an approach of creating an environment in which school-based teams of educators are trained:

How is Redland Respect Implemented at Redland Middle School
Redland's process is built around our Circle of Respect, which you can see in the top left corner of this website. We stress Respecting Self, Respecting Others, and Respecting School at Redland.
As a school, Redland created a school-wide behavioral expectations matrix based on our Circle of Respect. This matrix ( click here to view ) outlines what Respect looks like at Redland.
Students are recognized for demonstrating respect at Redland through our BULLDOG BUCKS program.
Bulldog Bucks are tickets students will receive from staff members for demonstrating Respect. (They get Bulldog Buckworth 1 dollar from staff, 2 dollars from bus drivers, and 3 dollars from substitutes)
Students can redeem their Bulldog Bucks at the PBIS School Store. (More information will follow regarding what rewards can be earned)
PEACE DAYS
A Peace Day is defined as a day (for each grade or the entire school) where there are ZERO OFFICE REFERRALS. When a particular grade accumulates a certain target level of peace days, the entire grade level will be recognized. The target levels are (accumulated days): 25, 50, 75, 100, 125, 150, and 175 days. At each target the grade levels will receive rewards. The specific rewards will be determined based on student feedback, but may include ice cream socials, after school dances, field days, and other great incentives.

If you know of a local business that is willing to sponsor our program (monetary or other donations), please let us know.
We are also accepting donations for our new DOG POUND Store. We are identifying items that students would be interested in working for, and we will share that list as soon as possible.
Have some time? We are looking for volunteers to help with the PEACE DAY celebrations that will occur throughout the year. Please email Mrs. Harrison and let her know your interest/availability.
