The Green School program promotes efficient and responsible energy use and recycling at Rock Creek Valley ES. The RCV Power Rangers, made up of RCV students, and led by Mrs. Lawrence, Media Specialist, and Mr. Cairns, Math and Science team leader,  along with Colleen Anderson, PTA representative, manage and implement the RCV recycling program and monitor energy use throughout our school.  We are proud of the hard work and dedication of last year's team who, along with the support of all RCV staff and students, earned RCV a Green School rating during the 2006-2007 school year!  We are striving to maintain and improve upon the results earned by last year's leaders, and hope to be named a Green School again this year!  To build an awareness for the reasons why we recycle, classrooms at RCV have an opportunity to answer weekly recycling questions.
