Quince Orchard Drama includes 4 levels of classes as well as an after-school Theatre Production program. Although it may be beneficial, you are not required to take a theatre class to audition or work backstage on a show. Work usually begins on the fall play the second week of school, and on the spring musical the first week of the calendar year.
Actors must audition; workshops are held to show you how. Rehearsals are generally 2:45-5 on school days and can run later the week the show opens. Stage/Technical Crew and Business Crew members, as well as Pit Orchestra members, do not audition; there is only a level of expectation of commitment. Drama clubs works in the afternoons, evenings, and even some on the weekends. The club welcomes all new members to come and share their talents and knowledge.
