Walkathon for the Homeless Raises Funds
Pyle students walk to raise approximately $500 for the Montgomery County Coalition for the Homeless. The event was held in conjunction with Fannie Mae and the Community Foundation of the National Capital Region.

Study Strategies for Success night on November 19th from 6:30-8:30 pm.
Do you know how to study for different classes and different types of tests? Are exams and unit assessments coming up? Are you worried about how to get ready? Help is on the way. On Wednesday, November 19 at 6:30 p.m., the Academic Advisory Committee will present a Study Strategies for Success night. The night is designed for students and parents to attend. Studying for a math exam is very different from preparing for an essay test. Studying for a high school level course is different from a regular middle school course. Pyle and Whitman teachers and others will explain study strategies to help you be a successful student. This program is designed for students and parents in 6th, 7th, and 8th grade. SGA Harvest for the Hungry Food Drive
Manna Food Center and Pyle have teamed up again to help these needy families in our community. From November 5th to November 21st the SGA will be holding the food drive. Please bring in any non-perishable items. Attached is a list of the most needed items, and a number/point value next to it. The TAG class in each grade with the most points at the end of the Drive will win a Pizza Party!! So please start bringing in your canned goods!! 11/11/08

NEW!! myLunchMoney.com is a new service being offered which allows parents to make prepayments to their child’s cafeteria account with a credit/debit card using the Internet. Once the myLunchMoney account is established, you can check balances, view student purchases, set up recurring payments, and receive low balance e-mail notification.
