GTA is a volunteer parent organization which exists to educate the public about gifted education issues, help parents and students advocate for challenging instruction, and advocate to the school system for appropriate curriculum and policies.

MCCPTA Gifted Child Committee

A committee of the MCCPTA, the Gifted Child Committee focuses on the needs of gifted children by providing information, guidance, and support to PTAs. It serves as liaison to MCPS committees and coordinates activities of parent GT Liaisons in each school.

National Association for Gifted Children

For over 50 years, NAGC has worked to increase public awareness about key issues related to high-potential learners. NAGC trains teachers, encourages parents and educates administrators and policymakers on how to develop and support gifted children and helps them understand what's at stake when high-potential leamers are not challenged and encouraged.

Center for Gifted Education

Located at the College of William and Mary, CGE is a learning community that values and fosters the talent development process of individuals over the lifespan. CGE develops, field-tests, and disseminates curriculum in relevant content areas at appropriate developmental levels.

Montgomery College Youth Programs

Enrichment programs, many targeted to gifted students, on weekends and during summers. Admission is limited and programs fill quickly.

Johns Hopkins University Center for Talented Youth

Summer and year-round distance education programs for highly gifted youth. Testing is required.

Maryland Summer Centers Program

Summer enrichment opportunities for gifted youth. Admission is limited and programs fill quickly.
