Welcome to the Poolesville Drama Club Technical Theatre Sponsor: Mrs. Gail Howard What is it? The technical aspect of theatre encompasses everything behind the curtains, and sometimes even in front. Techies design the sets, build the sets, paint the sets, furnish the sets, position the sets, rotate the sets, and take apart the sets. Techies design, set up, and run the lighting. Techies put together and play the sound for each show. Techies open and close the curtains and make sure the actors are in place and on time. To join the tech crew, watch for notices on the Midnight Player bulletin board in the lobby of the auditorium. Who does it? A group of highly devoted students including, in some of the main positions: Head of the Paint Department Head of the Props Department Head Sound Technician Head Lighting Technician Stage Manager Head of Running Crew Along with the students who head these crews, there are many others who spend hours helping with our shows Who's in charge? The technical director, Matt Johnson leads the students in helping to put on the wonderful shows we produce every year.
