Fall Athletics: September 12-November 2

Softball: This sport is slow pitch softball, but the coaches will be teaching many aspects of the game that can be carried over to baseball and fastpitch softball.  All equipment will be provided by the JPMS Athletic Dept.  The student athletes are more than welcome to bring their own gear if they choose.  Cleats (not metal) are recommended but not required to be worn during practices and games.

Co-Ed Cross Country: The course that will be run during the meet will be no longer than 1.5 miles.  Practices will incorporate a variety of activities with a variety running distance with many of them being longer than 1.5 miles.  Many of our practices take place off campus so that longer distances can be run. The student athletes will be expected to follow safety protocol while off campus which will be discussed by the coaches and a parent/guardian permission slip must be turned in, in order for them to run off campus.  Due to the many miles that will be run during the season a good pair of running shoes are recommended.
