 Attendance

Attendance is an important part of being successful in any class.  Therefore, all students must be in the classroom and ready to work before the late bell rings. If you are absent unexcused or tardy, you may not be allowed to make up assignments missed. If you are consistently tardy unexcused (UT) or absent unexcused (UA) expect the following to occur:

 3 UT = 1 absence

1 –2 UAs = a verbal warning is issued to a student

3 UAs = a letter home

4 UAs = a verbal warning is issued to a student

5 UAs = a loss of credit (LC) for the class

Anytime a student is absent, it is that student’s responsibility to see the teacher or check Edline for assignments.

 Textbooks

  • All students will be assigned text books in their classes as long as they have returned or paid for their previous texts.  Cover these books!  Please, no adhesive covers.
  • Students are responsible for returning the book at the end of the semester in the same condition as they received it.  If the book is lost or damaged, an obligation will be given.  Students may not receive another book until the obligation is paid in full.

 Academic Honesty

Students are expected to display academic integrity at all times by completing their own work and documenting any ideas that belong to others.  Plagiarism of any kind will not be tolerated.  Academic dishonesty can come in any form:  cheating on a test, copying homework, cutting and pasting from the internet, copying a sentence from a book or periodical or even letting another student borrow your homework.  Not only is it wrong, but you also do not learn anything and you will receive a zero for your efforts.  Your parents will be called in for an administrative conference.
