Ms. Burgdorf

Hello! My name is Anita Burgdorf. I am so excited to have the opportunity to teach at Oak View. I worked as a lunch/recess aid for one year and then worked as a para-educator for six years. I completed my Master of Arts in Teaching Special Education in May of 2015. I earned my undergraduate degree in Business Administration – Finance concentration and Accounting minor from Southwest Minnesota State in 1995.

I was raised in Minnesota and lived there until 1997. I met my husband while working for Schwan’s Sales Enterprises (frozen foods and ice cream company). We moved to Europe; we lived in Germany, France, Norway, Czech Republic, and Russia. We have 2 daughters, Tatiana and Natalia. We have 2 dogs, Friday and Angel. In my spare time, I enjoy cooking, sewing, reading, and traveling.

I look forward to working with great staff, families, and students at Oak View. I am so proud to be a Dragon!!

Ms. Henson

My name is Sharon Henson and I began teaching in Montgomery County in 2008. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in special education from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore, and my Masters in middle school mathematics from the University of Maryland College Park. In my free time I enjoy crafting, sewing, and quilting, as well as reading! I love working with students and am so excited to be an Oak View Dragon!

Flyer Distribution

Typically, fliers are distributed by elementary schools at or near the end of the quarter, three times a year. This year, for at least the first two quarters, we are asking schools to post approved virtual fliers on their school websites on the parent resources page. As a reminder, only fliers from non-profit organizations may be displayed and all fliers must contain the following disclaimer: "These materials are neither sponored by the Board of Education of Montgomery County, the superintendent or this school."
